Truck Driver Slain Outside West Warwick Police Station
A New York truck driver, Thomas Cutler, 25, was shot as he stood inside the West Warwick police station seeking directions. He died later at Kent County Memorial Hospital after bullets ripped through the front and inner doors. A West Warwick man was arrested in Coventry within an hour and faced murder and assault with intent to murder charges at arraignment.

Suspect indicted in two more cases in slaying of boy
Robert Golliver, 17, of Rockville Centre, already jailed for the Gruhn murder, was indicted by a Nassau County grand jury on charges of attempted murder of John Kilfoil in February, and on May 6 burglary and robbery at Leonardo's and the Diplomat Motel. He pleaded innocent. bail set at 550000 with a June 10 pretrial conference.
