Syracuse Woman Injured Jumping From Burning Home
A Syracuse woman, Nancy Kelly, 40, leaped from a second-floor window of her burning two-story home at Sterling Avenue and Hudson Street. She suffered a slight leg injury and smoke inhalation, taken to Community General Hospital by Eastern Ambulance. Fire officials attributed the blaze to a grease-filled pan left unattended for 20 minutes. the fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes. The home, owned by Harry Murphy, had three children away at the time.
