Cooler air returns Central New York to normal temperatures

A flow of cool air from Canada ushers Central New York back to typical temps for the week. Sunny skies prevail through Saturday with highs in the mid 70s and near zero rain chances tonight and tomorrow. Winds northwesterly at 10 to 20 mph. Overnight lows mid 50s. Extended outlook shows fair weather Thursday through Saturday with gradual warming into the weekend.

Navon to Ask Begin to Form Next Israeli Government

President Yitzhak Navon said he will ask Prime Minister Menachem Begin to form the next Israeli government after meeting leaders from the 10 parties set to be represented in the new parliament. Navon plans to invite Begin in a formal meeting tomorrow morning.

Syracuse to Host 1983 NCAA Hoop Regional at Carrier Dome

The NCAA committee announced Syracuse University will host the 1983 East Regional at the Carrier Dome from March 24 to 27 after first and second rounds on March 17-20. Hartford and Greensboro host early rounds. other regionals are in Tennessee, Kansas City, and Weber State with the Final Four in New Orleans. The 1986 finals go to Dallas.

Reagan pushes tax cut on Hill
