Vietnamese forces backed by Soviet tanks overran Nong Chan refugee camp in Cambodia, wounding at least 100 and forcing about 30,000 residents to flee into Thailand. Robert E. Bliss 22 of 415 Wilkins on Street died today from injuries after a fall from Chittenango Falls on Jan 23. His companion Joyce A. Guldy 30 of LaFayette Road also died in the accident both were city school teachers. Bliss taught health science at Shea Middle School and Guldy was a Lincoln Junior High science teacher.

Union and school board reached a deal through fact finder William Hannan with amnesty for injunction violations and strike actions.
