Kidnap victim found in trunk in Texas after five day ride
Steven Braman a 26 year old grocery store manager from North Charlestown South Carolina was abducted near his home and forced into a car trunk. A maintenance worker responding to a knocking noise found him dazed in Corpus Christi Texas. Braman said the kidnapper drove him to an interstate and later released him briefly before returning him to the trunk. The assailant remains at large.

Dentist convicted of murder in Missouri trial
Dr. Glen Engleman, a St. Louis dentist, was found guilty of capital murder in Gasconade County for the death of Sophie Barrera in a dynamite car explosion. The jury could not agree on a death sentence, so he received life in prison without parole for 50 years. he already has a life term plus 60 years for three prior convictions including the 1976 murder of Peter Halm.
