Grateful Welcome as Iran Hostages Return Home
A jubilant White House ceremony on the South Lawn honored the 52 Americans released from Iran. President Reagan pledged swift retribution for any attacks on U S government staff abroad as Vice President Bush led a motorcade of cheering citizens waving yellow ribbons. The First Lady cried and embraced the former hostages in the Blue Room.
