Turning colder in Central New York overnight

The National Weather Service at Hancock International Airport says a slight drop in temperatures with little chance of snow tonight or tomorrow in Central New York. Partly cloudy skies will yield a low around 15 to 20 degrees as Syracuse temperatures show cooler conditions.

Marnell Pleads Guilty to Sister-in-Law Murder

Howard F. Marnell 22 of Imperial Lane Clay pleaded guilty in County Court to murdering his sister-in-law Sandra Ulrich last summer after she rejected his plea to go out. Judge Cunningham set sentencing for February 10, with a minimum 15 years to life and a possible maximum of 25 years to life.

VA official arrested for threats in Seneca Falls

Gilbert J. Archie, chief of buildings at the VA Hospital in Syracuse, was arrested by village police after threats to kill a State Street woman and her two children. Police received calls around 6:30 p.m. from one child, then the mother, Barbara G. Mosley, 44, confirming the danger.
