Civic Leader Louis Provencial Dies in Massena at 76
Massena resident Louis E. Provencial 76 longtime civic figure and Fresh Air child host died at his home after a year of declining health. Born in Montreal he lived in Scambay Norfolk and Massena where he worked on the power canal and later with New York Central. He was active in St Lawrence Council Knights of Columbus and St Lawrence Club. He married Antoinette Mulvana in 1902 and had one son Joseph Kenneth and two grandchildren. He had hosted children at his home for 30 years and traveled about 2.5 million miles with the railroad career.
