Infant flown to Portland hospital for life support

A six week old baby from Spokane with critical illness was flown to Emanuel Hospital in Portland after Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane sought to end dialysis. Emanuel began treatment Tuesday while a judge weighed a motion to require ongoing kidney dialysis. Parents and doctors had searched nationwide for a facility willing to treat the newborn.
