32 Cent Mail Rate To Take Effect New Year Day

The text notes a 32 cent mail rate to start January 1 with stamps printed in advance and distributed after about 90 days. The new rules take effect at 12:01 am local time on New Year’s Day under a unanimous vote of the U.S. Postal Service governing board.

In East New York at about 8 30 p m Friday a man lost a 25 cent reimbursement and opened fire wounding Horacio Agosta 29 son of the store owner. Police say Manuel Waisome fled and was arrested Sunday.

Ex-Syracuse official avoids charges over loans in failed sheriff bid

Former Syracuse Police Chief Leigh Hunt will not face criminal charges after admitting irregularities in campaign fundraising. The Onondaga County DA said Hunt disclosed loans from Ken Papineau and Veronica Papineau tied to a Nation business, plus other loans from Dean Viassis family. No charges will be filed.
