Rapid growth in special tax districts in Onondaga County brings total to 88 with Ley Creek sewer district adding to the count. Salina has 19 districts, DeWl 18, and Onondaga Manlius and Camillus seven each. Four towns have no districts. Districts fund fire protection water, lighting, sewers and health services.

Woman on 80th Birthday Recalls Erie Canal Life
Mrs. Minerva L. King, 609 Bellevue Avenue, turned 80 yesterday and recalled a life on the Erie Canal. Born December 7, 1859 in Clyde, she spent childhood on a canal boat between Buffalo and New York, later living with daughter Mrs. Colin E. Tuttle. Her late husband, William B. King, was a Corning contractor.
