Tobin Restaurant Owner Edward Tobin Birthday Celebration
The Herald Journal notes Edward J. Tobin owner of Topin’s Restaurant in Fairmount will be celebrated tonight with a birthday party at his eatery. Pianist Don Hayes will play Happy Birthday while the Tobin Choristers sing and pastry chef Eileen Morda brings a 60 candle cake. Grace Tobin plans the party with a steak dinner and mocha ice cream. Tobin, a poker player and reader, will receive gifts including conservative ties and nylon shorts. He and Grace plan a winter trip to the west coast after the holidays. Miss Grace Wedarsa will manage the restaurant in their absence. Tobin is a member of Belle Vue Country Club, Syracuse Liederkranz Club and the Elks.
