Bartender Timson Convicted of Discrimination in Police Court
Frank Timson a 31 year old bartender at the Regal Restaurant was convicted yesterday by Judge William H. Bamerick in Police Court for discrimination and fined 50 dollars. Mrs Beverly Andrews of 556 Cedar Street testified Timson would not serve them coffee or food. Judge Bamerick cited Section 514 Penal Code in the ruling and noted the patrons arrived hoping to be served despite the discriminatory intent.
