Two men injured in Colton crash

Perry D. Hamilton 20 of Fulton was taken from Colton to Potsdam Hospital after a one car crash at 9 p.m. Friday. He was moved to State University Hospital in Syracuse for specialized care due to serious facial fractures. A passenger, Duane Charland 20, suffered a fractured leg and remained at Potsdam. Deputies noted possible charges related to intoxication.

DWI Charge After One Car Crash Near Ithaca College

Patrick Gillis, 29, of 491 Floral Ave Ithaca was charged with driving while intoxicated after a one car crash on Route 96B near Ithaca College. He also faced counts of moving from the lane unsafely and no vehicle inspection as his car overturned after leaving the road at 1142 p.m.

James Stevens longtime Syracuse restaurateur dies in Florida

James Stevens aged 83, prominent Syracuse area restaurateur, died November 26 in North Miami Beach Florida after living in Florida for about 20 years. He owned Crystal Restaurant in Syracuse and previously operated Commodore Restaurant in Fulton and worked as a chef at Onondaga Hotel. He belonged to St Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and the Order of Ahepa, with survivors including wife Alice Sourakis Stevens daughter Elaine Gianoulis and grandson Robert P. Burial in Florida. Services will be 11 am Saturday at the Fairchild and Meech Syracuse Chapel with Rev Richard Tillapaugh officiating. Interment Trexton Cemetery.
