Telergy chief officer eyes bid as Barrett forms investor group

Veterans Center to rise on Midtown Plaza site

Veterans Outreach Center Inc of Rochester announces a $12 million two story 82000 square foot veterans center at the Midtown Plaza site. The facility will house offices and residential space, offer adult day health care and housing for homeless veterans, include work therapy and chemical dependency programs, and relocate federal VA offices and a state veterans counseling office. About 75 workers will be employed, 30 new positions, with no veterans nursing home planned. The project follows brownfields redevelopment and was unveiled at veterans memorial ceremonies with Syracuse officials present.
