If verified as slightly above 30 percent support, PERB would order a representation election. The 50,000 employees are under a contract with PEF through March 31 1982. PEF accuses PS&T United of thinly disguised union busting and notes NYEA provided only technical advice.
A man posed as a pediatrician and treated more than 300 patients at a Queens health center starting mid July. Andre Nozile, 38, was arrested and charged after a Brooklyn physician suspected his credentials were being misused in a job application. No immediate harm reported, police said, and authorities declined to name the center until parents are notified.
A Bronx mother discovered her two sons dead with throats cut in their 18th-floor apartment. William Jackson, 18, and Donald Neel, 10, were found by Dolores Jackson, 39, returning from a funeral. A one-year-old and a three-year-old child were unharmed in the same residence.
