Return of the Living Dead review shows campy horror flaws
Entertainment editor Joan E. Vadeboncoeur critiques Dan O’Bannon’s The Return of the Living Dead as a campy film with sporadic entertainment and weaker compared with his Alien script. The piece highlights a cemetery and crematorium setting, cadaver-packed plot devices, corny jokes, and the embalmer character who listens to German songs while animating corpses.
