Seneca Falls voters will see a smaller school tax bill for 1981 82 due to a drop in the towns equalization rate and higher revenues noted by the Board of Education. Fayette and Tyre will pay more than May estimates as their rates rose because of lower equalization values. The district levy was reduced to 2.73 million, with Seneca Falls rate falling to 23.67 per thousand from 24.15. Fayette rises to 24.89 and Tyre to 25.39 per thousand.
Port Byron Central School District weighs withdrawal from the state plan and considers wraparound coverage presented by Tom Dugan of Prudential. Five options are discussed including full Prudential policy, full policy from another company, Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage, Blue Cross only, or mixed coverage to reduce hospital costs.
