Curran Denies Old Boy Label By Lehrman In GOP race
Curran counters Lehrman s claim he is the Old Boy choice in the Republican primary for New York governor. He accuses Lehrman of masking as an outsider while serving as party insider and platform chair in 1978. City county clash over mediator fee in sales tax dispute
City and Onondaga County dispute payment to mediator James T. Spaulding for sales tax talks. Mayor Lee Alexander says a $20 000 city county split was agreed, while County Executive Mulroy and Legislature Chair Pirro deny any obligation to pay. City Board of Estimate allocates $10 000 for the city share. Spaulding’s pay depends on county proceeds. The dispute follows broader tensions over hospital sale proceeds and outside counsel contracts.
