A one family home at 1051 S Geddes St burned early today killing Marie 11 Anne 6 and Gene Murdock 4. Officer Patrick Ahern and Fireman William Bastedo were injured. Fire started in a kitchen trash can. Weapons and antique books were found amid the wreckage.

Seven Terrorist Suspects Apprehended Near Canadian Border
UPI reports seven suspected terrorists and several narcotics and gun smugglers were seized by U.S. Customs agents along the Canadian border during the Olympics. One 35-year-old Canadian hairdresser was arrested in Champlain New York on July 6 and allegedly planned to kill Queen Elizabeth during a Montreal visit and had threatened President Jahnson in 1965. The suspect was handed to the Secret Service and others were detained for questioning before agency transfer.
