Legislator denounces TC3 nursing cut as pressure tactic
Cortland minority leader Delmar Palm blasted the Tompkins Cortland Community College Board of Trustees plan to eliminate the nursing program to shrink its budget. He urged cuts to Bahar expenses and questioned the bottom line focus, urging a line by line budget review while warning other lawmakers may share anger. The board aims to trim a 5.89 million proposal with 1.1 million sought from counties, Tompkins County covering two thirds.
