Onondaga Conservatives split over interim state slate dispute
The Onondaga County Conservatives face a split as the state Conservative Committee rejects their elected county slate as illegal and appoints an interim slate. County Elections Commissioner Richard Romeo says the Bertan-led group remains the legal representation unless court action changes that. Two rival officer sets exist, with Bertan and Weiss groups naming different leaders and officers.
