Individuality pays off for singer by pursuing auditions
Baritone Edward Crafts builds an itinerant strategy, touring for jobs across Minnesota Louisville and the East to land contracts rather than relying on New York cattle calls. He credits local auditions for shaping his artistry and securing roles with Opera Theater of Syracuse Fort Worth and upcoming projects. His wife Heather Ross directs Jacksonville Opera and they balance tours with family duties, while Crafts eyes more opera and concert work, including Britten War Requiem under Robert Shaw.
