Recycling becomes countywide curbside and drop-off program

North Carolina counties Craven Pamlico and Jones rolled out curbside collection and countywide drop-off stations starting in 1990 1991 and 1992 to reduce landfill waste. ARS operates a 60000 square foot facility in Craven processing newspapers cans glass and other recyclables into bales cullet and market-ready products. Prices for paper cardboard aluminum and plastic vary with market demand as mills expand capacity and new facilities rise to meet this recycling boom.
