Trapped climber identified among two found in rugged terrain

Tyler and Robert Browning of Marion NC were recovered after a rugged terrain incident. Browning's memorial service was held Thursday as fire officials investigate. Forecasters warned of high winds but crews remained on scene. Richard Tyler spoke earlier about the job’s hazards, urging caution.

Dwayne Lynn known as Beebo the Clown gives tips while a timid rider faces Mighty Mouse in a rodeo. After initial fear the rider ties hands, climbs the fence and makes a dramatic exit atop the 1650 pound bull, adrenaline surging as he claims victory over the ride.

Dwayne Lynn known as Beebo, a 29 year old James City rodeo clown, fights bulls and treats his own wounds after falls. He performs unicycle juggling and balloon sculptures when not taunting bulls. He wears a chest brace with a heart blade and says he avoids hospital by healing at home. His father and grandfather were rodeo clowns, inspiring his long career begun around age ten in 1982.

Bad to Bone Rodeo lights up Craven Fairgrounds this weekend

At Craven Fairgrounds on US 70 east of New Bern the Bad to the Bone Rodeo showcases pro riders in bareback riding barrel racing team roping goat tying steer wrestling and bull riding with prize money. Shows set for 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday feature comedy by Beebo the clown between events and a fireworks display. Tickets cost 10 for adults 5 for kids 12 and under with free admission for youngsters two and under. Proceeds benefit Vietnam Veterans Chapter 272.
