Amazon scraps New York City headquarters plan
Amazon abruptly abandoned its bid for a New York City headquarters that would have housed 25,000 workers, citing opposition to nearly 3 billion dollars in tax incentives and continuing expansion in Arlington Virginia and Nashville Tennessee. The reversal shocks Cuomo and de Blasio as critics call the incentives a taxpayer giveaway while the company already operates 5,000 in New York.
