Obituary of Alex Burnette of New Bern NC 1981 2019
John Alexander Burnette Jr. and Susan Harrell of New Bern raised Alex Burnette who died after battling esophageal cancer. A student athlete, Eagle Scout, UNC Tarheels and ECU Pirates fan, husband to Sarah Williams Burnette, father of Telah Grace, he lived in New Bern most of his life and left a large extended family. A memorial service was held February 16 2019 at Centenary United Methodist Church with a life celebration at Copper Ridge on the Neuse. Donations supported Telah’s future.
