North Carolina Weather: Clear Tonight with Fog and Warm Fray

North Carolina outlook shows mostly clear skies in New Bern with late night fog and light easterly winds. Lows in the mid 60s, Friday partly cloudy with a 20 percent thunderstorm risk and highs near 90. Statewide, little change expected with clear to partly cloudy skies, fog late tonight, and widely scattered storms this evening and Friday afternoon.

Weather forecast: heavy rain across Florida tonight and Friday

A disturbance tracks across Florida bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms later tonight into Friday. Thunderstorms will also form along a stationary front from the Midwest to the mid-Atlantic. Locally heavy rainfall possible with strong storms. Widely scattered storms expected in the Desert Southwest and the Rockies. Temperatures reach the 90s in the West and South, while the Northeast remains in the 70s and 80s.

He was active in Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church Rainbow Masonic Lodge No 479 New Bern Scottish Rite Bodies and Arapahoe Order of the Eastern Star No 236. Funeral Friday 3 p.m. at Pollock-Wells and Best Funeral Home chapel with Revs Bobby Jones and John Steen. Burial in Sandhill Cemetery Reelsboro with Masonic rites. Survived by widow Hazel B. Brinson one son Seth C Meinece Jr. of Reelsboro five daughters Victoria Kimberly Stephanie Seth III and James William Brinson all of Reelsboro one brother Rufus E. Simpson rushed to hospital for stomach pains

Simpson, jailed in Los Angeles, was moved from the downtown Men’s Central Jail to Cedars-Sinai for stomach pains. Sheriff deputy said the hospitalization was not related to a suicide attempt. A jury consultant for the defense discussed pretrial juror questioning and de selection tactics.

Panel favors delay in oyster rules

A Tacoma panel of shellfish regulators and industry reps recommended delaying the FDA plan to halt raw Gulf Coast oyster consumption from April to October by one year. They urged considering alternative measures to combat the Vibrio vulnificus bacteria and voted 6-2 to form a committee to draft language for implementing the FDA plan.

Public records detail indecent liberties and theft charges

Rodney E. Wilson, 26, of 1412 Mockingbird Lane, charged Wednesday with indecent liberties with a child tied to an April 4 incident. He posted a $1,000 unsecured bond and will appear in Craven County District Court. Charles Edward Green, 35, of 197 Lynnwayne Circle, Havelock, charged Wednesday with false pretenses and larceny after allegedly taking a microwave from Brendle’s Aug. 5 and seeking a refund without a sales receipt. He is held in Craven County jail on a $1,000 secured bond and to appear in Craven County District Court today.

Craven Sheriff reports theft of two grease guns at BP James City

The Craven County Sheriff's Office reports the theft of two Sean grease guns, their nozzles and hoses, valued at 1200 dollars, from a BP gas station in James City on Tuesday or Wednesday. No suspects named. investigation ongoing.
