Recipe notes a corn bread salad using two boxes Jiffy mix with crumbled cornbread, bell pepper, pimentos, green onions, grape tomatoes, corn, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese and bacon. Optional peas relish and eggs. Credits Laura Tolbert aka Fleur de Lolly with blog and awards.
A berry rich crumble featuring a fruit base of blackberries peaches raspberries blueberries plums cherries or apricots with a cinnamon scented crumb topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes then finish under broiler for browning. Serve warm or at room temperature.
In a medium pot, boil lima beans until just tender then drain. In a cast iron skillet cook bacon until crisp, crumble and set aside. Sauté onion okra and garlic, add corn, beans, salt and pepper until tender, then melt butter. Stir in tomatoes basil and bacon. Serve. Serves 6.
Okra casserole combines okra, corn, and vegetables with rice and garlic butter croutons baked at 350. Bacon wrapped okra skewers grill until crisp tender, brushed with balsamic glaze for a smoky finish.
