School board selects new EES principal
The Sarasota County school board appoints Norris Gaynor of West Reading Conn as Englewood Elementary School principal. He is expected to start by August 1 after interviewing for the post and may visit the school briefly beforehand. Gaynor holds Bachelor and Master degrees in elementary education, an administrator's certificate, and is in a Columbia University doctoral program. He has served as teacher and administrator, including acting and principal roles in Darien Connecticut. He is married with two children, one a four week old baby at the interview time.
