North Manasota Key resident Robert S. Dickens explains his unfinished bayfront cube studio guesthouse is not a greenhouse or power facility but an artist designed retreat. The 16 foot high glass wall and skylights flood the space with north light while gravel facade panels and a large deck offer views of the bay and bridge crossings. Dickens, a Chicago industrial designer, says the bold design is intentional and meant to attract attention and activity.
