Venice Council approves consultant fee for sewer study
The Venice City Council voted to hire Reynolds, Smith and Hills for a two-part sewer system study at a total cost of at least 34 500, despite Mayor Case and Vice Mayor Caffrey arguing the work could be done in house. A new engineer will start next month to create a five or six person department. The study aims to plan for a county wide system and show how the existing treatment plant can be used fully while allowing flow to divert to the proposed system.
