Dr Thixtun Injured in Auto Accident Near Prairleton
Dr E D Thixun formerly of this city now in Terre Haute suffered a dislocated hip and rupture of the abdomen when tossed from his automobile Sunday night. He tried to pass a buggy on a rough road, shut off the motor before being thrown. The car was undamaged and the accident occurred near Prairleton. He is in Union hospital Terre Haute.

All Day Basket Meeting Planned by Dugger Church
The Christian church of Dugger Sullivan county organizes an all day Basket Meeting at Gambill's grove north of Dugger next Sunday. Train riders should exit Cass station for proximity. A large crowd is expected with a temporary stand and shaded grounds. State evangelist T. J. Legg and Elder Melnette Miller will attend. The Dugger church has grown from two families to fifty seven members in a year, with Sunday school averaging about 140 since January. The gathering will include a 9:30 Sunday school, morning sermon and Communion, and a 2:30 afternoon service.

A severe storm Wednesday night caused heavy damage countywide. Shelburn suffered the worst with a twister at nine o'clock, blowing down stacks, unroofing a tile machine shop building, wrecking a cold storage house, and injuring horses. Other towns saw roofs torn off, fences down, and a large barn struck by lightning destroying its contents and injuring horses. O. P. Badger faced substantial losses of hay oats corn and gear from the blaze and wind.
