Frank Plew Killed by a Freight Train
Frank Plew of this city was run over and killed by freight cars on the Indianapolis Southern railroad about 200 yards east of Main street. Witness Perry Ruggles saw the accident as the eastbound train pulled away, Plew had crawled under a car and slept. the wheels severed his legs and mangled his arm. Coroner Brewer examined the body. an inquest is set for morning. Plew, 38, lived with his wife and two children on First Washington street and had been hauling brick.

Robbery at Farmersburg Stores Reported
Robbers broke into two Farmersburg stores on Monday night. Goods valued near 100 dollars were stolen including a revolver rings and clothing items. Saloon Man Stewart Fined for Blind Tiger Violation
In Linton Indiana Jack Stewart was found guilty on a second trial of selling beer under the blind tiger law. He was fined 65 dollars with costs totaling about 115 dollars. Stewart operated a Atlas saloon and had been fined previously for Sunday sales. Evidence showed beer moved to his home for sale though he says it was given away. The defense may appeal to the Circuit Court.
