Pioneer Woman Margaret French Dies at 99 in Sullivan
Mrs. Margaret French wife of Harrison French died Wednesday at her North Broad Street home after a long illness. Born June 28 1827 in Clark County Indiana she moved to Sullivan in the 1830s with her parents and later married Rev. Benjamin Sherman and after his death remarried Mr. Harrison French who survives with a sister Mrs Emma Kimball of Indianapolis. Burial was at Center Ridge cemetery after a Church of Christ funeral led by Rev Elias Bruer.

All men between ages 21 and 30 must register. Failing to register or false registration is a misdemeanor. If absent from residence register by mail. Registration hours 7 am to 9 pm on June 5 1917 at local precincts. Ill men may seek instructions. absent men in cities over 30 000 must contact city clerks. Registration day urged as a great day of patriotic devotion to list all eligible names.
Sullivan County Registration Board Named And Dates Set
The Sullivan County Registration Board for the September constitutional convention election was named with County Clerk Dave Giles, Arlie Combs of Farmersburg, and Ben C. Crowder from the city. Ed Lacey and T. W. D. Hutchinson will serve as Democratic and Republican chairmen respectively. Registration runs June 6 to August 20 at the county courthouse, with three copies of each registration card.

Hasketts Son George Haskett Dies From Live Wire Incident
George Haskett twenty one of Sullivan Ind died Saturday afternoon in Clinton while working for Wabash Valley Electric Company when 2300 volts passed through him causing instant death. He was brought home to his mother on East Beech Street and survived by two sisters and a brother. Funeral service conducted Monday at 2 pm at Christian church with pall bearers named from Terre Haute Merom and Dugger. Interment Center Ridge cemetery.
