County's Oldest Attorney Passes in Sullivan County
Thomas J. Wolfe 85 native to the county and dean of the Sullivan bar died Saturday from general debility at his adopted daughter’s home on South Main street. He practiced law in Sullivan since 1876 after farming earlier years, graduated University of Indiana 1858, and was a former Beta Theta Pi member. Survived by two brothers Sol T. Wolfe of Fort Wayne and Benton Wolfe of near Carlisle.

Shelburn Men Guilty of Highway Robbery
Dan Myers and Thomas White of Shelburn pleaded guilty to highway robbery before Judge Bridwell. Each was sentenced to 5 to 14 years in the state prison, fined ten dollars, and disfranchised for two years for robbing James Chrisanthes of cash, watches, and jewelry. Also sentenced were Silas M. Taylor for embezzlement to 2 to 14 years, Jesse McCracklin for assault and battery, Walter Siner for 30 days with a suspended sentence, and others on various charges.
