Farmersburg May 5 two horses driven by Fred and Earl Wilson were killed when struck by a 3:30 P.M. interurban car at Hampton crossing. The Wil sons were unhurt and say they did not see the car until it was too late to avoid the collision.

Fire at New Lebanon threatens massive building
Fire broke out in a large building on the southwest corner of the public square in New Lebanon Indiana on May 5. The Samp Stewart Barber Co occupied the building owned by Captain John Canary. Fire Chief St Clair and crew quickly controlled the blaze and a hole burned in the east roof. No insurance covered the property or contents. Ruddie and Lee secured the repair contract.

Double Wedding at Pigg Residence near Hymera
A Sunday morning double wedding united Miss Pearl Pigg and Miss Dessie Pigg with Messrs Fred Holton and William Russell at the Pigg home one half mile north of Hymera. After the ceremony the brides’ father hosted a dining room feast. Russell is Mary Russell’s son. Holton is Levi Jewell’s brother and Verna Holton’s. Holton, a former three year Army private, helped guard San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake. Guests at dinner included Henry Pigg and family of Jasonville and Rev Ward with wife among others.

Wild Goose 42 Years Old Owned by Turman Family
Ross Turman of Turman township owns a 42 year old wild goose kept as a decoy. His flock of 18 geese hatched 19 eggs this year producing three goslings. Inspector Logue Faces Divorce Suit After Manslaughter Case
