A large crowd attended Hamilton Township schools annual commencement at the Little Flock church. The program opened with America sung by all. John L Poston Dies in Palestine at 67
John L. Poston of Palestine died yesterday afternoon at age 67. He leaves six children. Funeral services will be held in Palestine tomorrow. He resided in Sullivan county most of his life until seven years ago, leaving W. H. Poston as the lone surviving family member.

The Ed. P. Reed residence on North State Street was badly damaged by a Tuesday afternoon fire that started in the attic from a defective flue. Firefighters gained headway before arrival and quenched the flames. roof and attic suffered major damage, interiors and household effects damaged by water. Loss covered by insurance.
