Fragmented satirical column touches politics and theater
The piece riffs on John Sharp Williams and the 1908 campaign, mocks Roosevelt and Parker, and notes a St Louis exposition strike. It blends jokes about beer, brushes, and a bachelor’s reflections with verse about Bryan’s defeat and a horse race metaphor.
