Farmersburg July 4. Quaker tent meetings north of town attract large nightly crowds and several conversions. A remarkable sight occurred Sunday when a dusty man walked 11 miles with a child on his back to attend the meeting. He joined in singing and later became deeply moved before returning home. The revival continues for several days, likely boosting local goodwill.
July 4 celebration in Shelburn featured a baby show won by Mr and Mrs Martz baby and a second prize for Mr and Mrs Claude Rains. Friendship Sunday School captured the singing prize. Also noted is Dr Crowley who touts vegetable medicines and chronic disease cures.
