Bryan Resolutions Roil Democratic Convention in Baltimore
At the Democratic National Convention in Baltimore on June 27 William Jennings Bryan demanded the repudiation of J Pierpont Morgan August Belmont and Thomas F Ryan. After a heated roll call the rules were suspended and the motion carried amid boos and cheers as Bryan threatened to push for a party free of those delegates.
