Sullivan Physician Joseph Freeman Dies After Long Illness
Dr. Joseph Freeman 69 a Sullivan native and longtime physician died at his West Thompson home after a lingering illness. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 30 P M at his residence with Rev J E Suinwalt of the Methodist church officiating. Burial is at Center Ridge cemetery. He was born in 1854 to Fletcher and Sarah Cox Freeman. Surviving are his widow, three daughters Gertrude Myrtle and Mrs P H Verner and a son Dr J M Freeman. two brothers Fletcher and Charles A Freeman.

Oscar Hawkins, about forty, a Glendora mine electrician, died at the county hospital after a Friday evening accident at the Glendora mine. He touched a high tension wire while arranging switches on a platform and was rushed to hospital. He leaves a wife and one son Nevelleine, plus a brother Herschel and sisters Stella and Sarah. Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon.

Jasonville Man Dies as Car Flips in Hymera Area
Damon Bonham of Jasonville was killed when a Ford plunged into a ditch and rolled over two miles south of Hymera early Saturday. Charles Bonham, driving, escaped with minor injuries. Damon’s head was crushed. Hymera marshal Tom Bridwell responded, two fire jaws found in the wreck, Charles was arrested, Damon died en route to Dr Plew’s office.
