Old Land Rental Contract Unearthed in 1855 Greene County Deal
Lloyd Wright recalls a 1855 land rental contract between D H Wright of Greene County Indiana and David Shelton of Coshocton County Ohio. The agreement covers building a nine rail high fence around 25 acres with two eight rail partitions and corner stones, clearing three acres in Jackson Township, to be finished by March 1 1857, with a rent-free term of up to twenty months.

Dugger brothers arrested for moonshine violation

William Robertson 79 died Friday morning at his son Johns home in Glendora from heart disease. A Scotland native who came to Indiana about 64 years ago he lived in the county 17 years. Survived by sons John Clarence Roy and daughter Margaret. Remains sent to Newburg near Evansville for funeral and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
