She married twice first to John Medsker two children who died in infancy second to Richard Davis August 1 1859 four children two sets of twins with two twins dying in infancy. She joined Big Springs Christian church 1868 and was baptized April 24 1868. Funeral at Big Springs church conducted by William Yager buried Mann cemetery beside her husband.

Aunt Joan Davis aged over eighty and widow of Civil War veteran Richard Davis died Friday at her home two miles west of Graysville after a lengthy illness in Turman township. She was one of the oldest residents in the area.
