Merom Chautauqua Opens Ten Day Session With Noted Speakers
The twelfth annual Merom Chautauqua starts tomorrow on the Merom Bluffs and runs ten days through August 27. Dr Lichliter will manage and lecture daily, with a strong program including the Florentine Musicians, the Dunbar Quartette, and lectures by Jacob Dunn, Mrs Curry, John Temple Graves, and James E Watson among others.

Louis Scott 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Scott of Hymera, died when the automobile he rode in skidded into a ditch at No. 2 schoolhouse corner in Jackson township. Driver W J McAnally was seriously injured. Scott worked at a Hymera restaurant. the car belonged to the McAnally Auto Livery.
