County Board Names Registration Inspectors Across Sullivan County

Death of Davie Alsman Reaches Home from California
Davie Alsman known as Doc died in California at age twenty two while working in the Union Pacific car shops. Roy Boone, a Sulivan boy, accompanied the body home and time and place for funeral arrangements will be set upon the remains’ arrival this week. He had earlier burst an artery lifting a heavy weight but recovered before his death. He leaves his parents Mr and Mrs William C Alsman and sister Mrs Clem McGrew among many friends.

Funeral held Saturday at Providence Christian church with Elder Reed of Carlisle officiating. Perry Cooper a 56 year old Gill township farmer was fatally kicked by a horse in the barn lot at his Merom home. His wife found the body around six o clock and neighbors rushed assistance. In Farmersburg on April 9 a seven months old child, son of Mr and Mrs Isaac Hoppingarner, died in his mother's arms on the street near Nye's Chapel after lung fever worsened. Parents had taken the babe to a physician but died before returning to the office. no medicine had been given.
