Tragedy at South Street Crossing Involving Koons Couple
Mrs. Maggie Koons was killed and her husband George Koons badly injured when struck by trains near the South Street crossing. The couple had been separated, with separation papers drawn up at a lawyer’s office. Coroner and police suspect foul play as Koons provides conflicting statements while the body of Mrs Koons lies farther down the track. The couple’s child Earl was found safe with grandparents.
