Murder at Wolf Run mines ends in fatal shot
William Webster a 45 year old English miner was mortally wounded by David P Johns a Welsh miner during a drunken quarrel near Amsterdam at Wolf Run mines. Johns fled but was captured near Richmond and is jailed for safety. Webster died two hours after the shooting. Johns claims self defense saying he was attacked by several English miners. Authorities will investigate and prosecute.
