Sterling Warriors Face Young Varsity After Inexperienced Start

Sophomores led the starting lineup as Coach Scott fielded a notably young varsity. Inexperience at key positions cost yardage, yet the season builds experience for next year with 36 returning players and a 7-? fresh-soph squad. Despite frequent tempers and unsportsmanlike conduct, the team showed potential. Ten seniors played their final game, with Frank Lee, Randy Boeing, Jeff Easley, Dave Proulx, Dale Hagen, Steve Wolf, Steve Stokes, Arnold Chattie, Bernie Mammessser, and Mel Vogel earning praise for their efforts.
