GAA Opens First Gym Jam of 1970 71
On November 20 1970 the GAA hosted its first Gym Jam of the school year. The fieldhouse and girls gym welcomed both genders to volleyball basketball aerial darts and table tennis from 730 to 1000 PM. Participants found it fun and good exercise.

Bill Tonkin Makes Movie on WAVC
Mr. William Tonkin head of SHS Research and Development completed a 15 minute film about entry level jobs for high school graduates. The documentary visits General Electric and Volckmans Furniture Company to show on the job work and advancement paths while excluding office roles. The script was written by Tonkin and narrated by Van Eaton, Morrison High guidance counselor, at a counselor request. A second film on Sterling industries may follow.

Warrior yearbook deadline updates and new lithographic cover
The 1970 71 Warrior yearbook project began in August with plans for a colorful opening. Business Manager Jeff Player led staff in selling ads while photography and page work pushed toward a November 1 deadline for forty eight pages. By December 1, 128 of 232 pages were finished as the staff continued toward a December 1 target for the 70 page section, with sales during October and final sales on November 25. A lithographic cover designed by Karen Albert marks a new feature.
